Gallery visit

So we went to the art gallery again. The exhibition was very interesting and this was the second thing we could see:
Unfortunately, I don't have a photo of the first thing, but I can tell you it was basically mirrors set around the room, so the light from a single light source was travelling from mirror to mirror all over the room.
This, however, was an odd mixture of programming and art. The computer, which was connected to a projector, was running a program, that was scanning one popular social network for words connected with life and death. Each one of these green dots was a conversation about life. When the people talking changed topic, the dot belonging to their little talk disappeared.
I think it is supposed to look like bacteria or planet Earth, to show the quantity and unity together.
Another interesting piece was a sort of machine-game for two people. Each of the two sat on one side of the table and put a little sensory thing on their finger. It would scan their heartbeat, which could be seen on the projector. Whenever would the hearts of the two people beat at the same time, a circle would appear. The lady who was guiding us said, that if the hearts are in sync, so are the people.
And here is the last interesting piece:
Sorry for the video quality....
A dried rose placed in a vase was placed in a glass vase on the floor and a row of lighs were flashing at it, thus changing the position of the shadow of the rose and creating sort of illuison of movement (or an animation, call it whatever you like).
It was supposed to show how the time is changing. Sometimes it seems that years go by as seconds and sometimes it feels like minutes are whole hours. Can't see the connection? Good. Me netiher.
That's all I've got for now, so see you later.

Conversations leading elsewhere...

So we visited the gallery on Tuesday (23.4. 2013).
The author of the exhibited art was Mária Čorejová. When we visited the exhibition, we had a tour of the works and we discussed some of the main ideas in the exhibition such as reasons why this art was made, what was the author trying to show and what should we think about. We could see mainly ink drawings by Maria herself, but there were also pieces of art by another artists, for example some pottery, animations and one painting.
In the end of the tour, we could choose a copy of one of Maria's works and develop it ourselves. In my group we wanted to add some colours, because the whole exhibition made us feel a little depressed and maybe even scared because of the wierd sounds they were playing in the background and some even dared to call it music.... But that's just my opinion. Anyway, when we were supposed to 'edit' the copies of Maria's art, we realized we didn't have any coulour markers or crayons or pastels, so we just took the black marker and devided the picture into many little pieces. In every little piece, we wrote a name of one colour and drew a little symbol of the colour, for example candy cane in the pink space or a unicorn in the purple one or grass in the green one.
I think the exhibition was interesting because the art we could see made us think. Although I didn't like it very much because it was quite creepy for me, I could imagine what Maria wanted to tell us by making a piece of art like that.

Alcohol And Drugs

Alcohol and drugs

Alcohol and drugs are in my (and not only my) opinion one of the mane global problems.

While drugs like cocaine, amphetamines, LSD, ecstasy and more are illegal drugs, alcohol, which causes just as many problems, is legal and more common than any of these drugs.

People who use drugs or drink too much alcohol are capable of terrible things and they will eventually become addicted. Thieves, robbers and murderers who are drug addicted are known everywhere around the world.

Not only that drugs make people do terrible things, they also slowly destroy their mind and body. Drug addicts often look quite skinny, their hands are shaky and they overall don't look very healthy

Drinkers, then, have similar problems and are often deeply depressed and agressive.
Drugs are no good for society or health.

Don't do drugs kids >:U
